These terms govern your creation and use of an account on any platform operated by Bristol Tracker Limited, including but not limited to www.the-trackr.com and related services (the “Platform”). By registering for an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.

If you do not agree to these terms in full, you must not create an account or continue to use your account.

“Trackr”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Bristol Tracker Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 15763725), whose registered office is at 24 Tabor Gardens, Sutton, London, SM3 8RX.

“User”, “you”, or “your” refers to any individual who registers for a user account on the Platform.

2. Purpose of Account Registration

Account registration provides users with access to an enhanced and personalised experience on the Platform. This may include, but is not limited to:

  • Tracking and managing job applications on the Platform, including user-initiated status updates and annotations.
  • Gaining access to exclusive or curated content, including internship opportunities not visible to non-registered users.
  • Receiving communications or alerts tailored to the user’s profile, preferences, or application interests.
  • Setting personal defaults and preferences to optimise Platform navigation (e.g. preferred tracker view).

Registration is offered free of charge. However, the Platform reserves the right to revise, suspend, or withdraw account features at any time and without prior notice.

3. Account Eligibility and Accuracy

By registering, you confirm that:

  • You are aged 16 or over.
  • All information you provide is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and not misleading.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your account details remain up to date and must notify us promptly if any inaccuracies arise.

4. Data Collection and Use

Upon creating an account, users may be asked to submit personal and demographic information. This may include:

  • Identity Data: Name and email address.
  • Demographic Data: Gender, ethnicity, languages spoken, educational background, country of residence, and free school meal eligibility.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser metadata, device type, and user session details.
  • Preference Data: Tracker navigation defaults and behavioural signals.

Submission of certain data fields may be optional and marked as such, including “Prefer not to say” options where applicable.

The data collected is used for the continued development and delivery of the Platform, to enhance user experience, support service customisation, and contribute to broader informational insights. This includes the generation of aggregate-level, anonymised outputs used internally or shared externally in furtherance of research, evaluation, and/or employment-related outreach objectives, including those undertaken in the public interest.

The data is stored securely via Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure within the United Kingdom.

For more details, refer to our Privacy Policy.

5. Communications and Messaging

By creating an account, you consent to receiving Platform communications. These may include:

  • Transactional notices relating to your account activity.
  • Administrative or operational messages regarding service availability or changes.
  • Curated or algorithmically delivered alerts concerning educational or professional development opportunities, including relevant events, schemes, or positions that may be of interest based on your profile or interactions.

While these communications are often informational, they may in some instances be promotional in nature, subject to applicable laws and guidance. Users may opt out of non-essential communications via clearly marked unsubscribe mechanisms or by contacting [email protected].

6. Account Security

You must keep your account credentials secure and confidential. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your login, whether or not authorised by you. We are not liable for any unauthorised use unless caused by our negligence.

We reserve the right to disable, suspend, or restrict access to any account in our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of suspected misuse, impersonation, or violation of these terms. No appeals process is guaranteed in such cases.

7. Data Deletion and Account Termination

You may request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon confirmation, we will take steps to erase or anonymise your data within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 30 days, subject to any applicable legal obligations requiring retention.

We may, at our discretion, terminate accounts that have been inactive for prolonged periods or that we consider no longer compliant with the purpose of the Platform.

8. Intellectual Property and User Contribution

All Platform content remains the property of Bristol Tracker Limited or its licensors. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish Platform content without written permission, except for strictly personal, non-commercial use.

Where users submit any content or input via their account (e.g. job applications, feedback, or metadata), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, copy, modify, or distribute that content in connection with Platform operation and improvement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
  • Loss of opportunity, data, reputation, or goodwill arising from use of the Platform or reliance on content.
  • Interruptions, delays, or failures caused by external systems or data providers.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Platform. It is your responsibility to review them periodically. Continued use of your account after any change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
